The fourth quarter is the make it or break it period for most students with finals as well as many other important projects and tests. With the quarter closing up the school year students could find themselves slacking off with thoughts of summer and not finals.

So which do people find themselves doing? Many find themselves suddenly struck with motivation while others find themselves frantically writing down homework answers before class.

“You know a little bit of both. For the most part I’m working harder, but me being me I slack off in some areas sometimes. But I’m still trying to finish strong and get through the school year and ready for junior year,” said Sophomore Jadd Waters.

Finals are a huge part of a student’s grade and make up 20% of their final grades in the class. So although senioritis may have set in early, good study habits and the helping hand of a teacher may make summer more enjoyable if one doesn’t have to go to summer school.
