As a new year starts, the school is blooming with opportunities for students to support their fellow classmates.

 

Starting out the week there will be boys and girls soccer games versus Trevor Browne High School on Monday. This is followed by games later this week against rivals Desert Vista on Wednesday and Highland High School on Friday.

 

Boys Varsity basketball faces Highland at home tonight at 7:00 pm.  They resume play on Tuesday night as they take on Desert Ridge, also at home.

 

Continuing with sports; wrestling faces off against Corona Del Sol and Red Mountain High School on Wednesday.

 

Clubs on campus wasted no time starting back up to begin planning and throwing events for the student body.

 

On Wednesday a National Honors Society general meeting will be held for all old and newly inducted members at 7:15 am in the cafeteria.

 

The following day the Winter Art Show kicks off, displaying art from all art classes including live demonstrations in the G-Wing.

 

An ample amount of interests are catered to during Club Rush on the eighteenth. Find a new hobby to take up, while also learning more about what your friends like to do after school.

 

There is a choir event at 6:00 pm, allowing students to showcase their vocal abilities to a willing audience.

 

Learn more about different cultures and teach others about your own by volunteering at the Diversity Assembly.

 

Students from all backgrounds are invited to take part in this assembly to represent their culture.  Those who speak another language or enjoy traditional dances and songs are encouraged to share their culture with the student body. Students can look for Natasha Alston on campus for more information.
